These can range from enterprise wide economic capital analysis to the pricing of guarantees for insurance companies, to understanding the risks in defined benefit asset strategies.

Morningstar, Inc. is a leading provider of independent investment research in North America, Europe, Australia, and Asia. They offer an extensive line of products and services for individuals, financial advisers, and institutions.  Morningstar provides data on approximately 500,000 investment offerings, including stocks, mutual funds, and similar vehicles, along with real-time global market data on more than 17 million equities, indexes, futures, options, commodities, and precious metals, in addition to foreign exchange and Treasury markets. MSCI ESG Research products and services are designed to provide in-depth research, ratings and analysis of environmental, social and governance-related business practices of over 6,000 publicly traded companies worldwide. ESG Ratings, data and analysis from MSCI ESG Research are also used in the construction of the MSCI ESG Indexes.
