Style Research

Dr David Golya is a Principal of Style Research.

Prior to joining Style Research, David was a researcher and statistician at the Institute of Work Psychology and lecturer in Statistics and Computer Science at the University of Sheffield.

David holds an MSc in Statistics and a Doctor of Philosophy in Statistics from the University of Sheffield, having specialized in the application of theoretical mathematics and applied statistical techniques to the problems of extreme values analysis and extremes in foreign exchange market trading. David is a skilled computer programmer and has delivered a number of graduate and professional seminars on the theoretical foundation and practical solutions to problems of extreme value analysis.

David has published a number of Style-related articles in European professional journals. He is also a member of the Statistics M.Sc Advisory Panel at the University of Sheffield.

Peter Hopkins is a Principal of Style Research.

Prior to joining Style Research, Peter Hopkins spent fourteen years with Baring Asset Management (BAM) where he was a Director of the Investment Management Group, Head of the Quantitative Research Team and a member of the Investment Board and Global Senior Management team, with responsibility for the development and implementation of the quantitative elements of BAM”s investment philosophy and processes. Peter is also a co-author of the monograph “Country, Sector and Company Factors in Global Equity Portfolios”, published by AIMR. He holds an M.A. and D. Phil. in Theoretical Nuclear Physics from Oxford University, where he was also a Lecturer in Physics and Research Assistant in Robotics. He is a member of the INQUIRE UK Research Committee.

George Kallarackal is a Principal of Style Research Limited.

George’s responsibilities include managing the software development team and developing some of the calculation modules for the Portfolio Analyzer.

Before joining Style Research, George was a financial analyst with Mercer. He read Pure Mathematics and Computation at UMIST and is an accomplished programmer, acquiring the skills at university and professionally at Mercer, as a member of the team developing pensions-related software.

Robert Schwob is a Principal of Style Research.

Robert is the founder of Style Research. He is also a Director of INQUIRE UK, former Chairman of the INQUIRE UK Research Committee, a member of the Advisory Council for the Scottish Institute for Research in Investment and Finance, and a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Asset Management.

Previously, Robert was Chief Executive of Quorum Capital Management Limited, London (a global active Style-based investment manager) and prior to that Chief Investment Officer for The Citibank Private Bank (Europe, Middle East and Africa).

Robert was educated in Canada, France and the UK and has gained Masters Degrees in Mathematics and International Economics. He speaks regularly at international investment conferences and is a respected lecturer on international investment practice and theory at professional investment training programmes and specialist seminars. Robert has also published broadly in the professional journals on Style Analysis and Style Management, Stock Selection, Benchmark Selection, Market Allocation, and Hedging and Currency Management.

Andrew Camm is a Software Architect at Style Research Limited.

Andy has extensive experience in the design and development of large-scale enterprise architectures.

He has developed systems for a wide range of blue chip organizations, including Microsoft, IBM, AT&T and Legal & General, in both Europe and the US. His primary area of expertise is the development of web-based, scalable applications. He has a degree in Law from University College, Cardiff.

Ausin Dadehbeigi is a Research Associate at  Style Research.

Ausin joined Style Research with degrees in Electronic Engineering and Artificial Intelligence (First Class Honours) and with post graduate academic and applied research experience in mathematical modelling and systems development for pattern recognition and computer vision applications. He is a highly skilled mathematical programmer, researcher and data analyst.

John Ewbank is a Research Associate at Style Research.

Prior to joining Style Research John held Operational Research and Information Technology roles in the Retail, Logistics and Telecoms industries. John has a degree in Pure Mathematics and Geology from Sheffield University and a Masters in Operational Research from Birmingham University.

David Holmes is a Data Manager at Style Research.

Before joining Style Research David gained extensive software and database development experience in production and inventory management in the ceramics, marketing and healthcare industries. He is a skilled and experienced programmer and software developer in the field of data analysis and data management. David read Physics at the University of Reading.

Jeremy Margetts is Head of Funds Research at Style Research.

Before joining Style Research, Jeremy was a funds analyst at Fidelity Investments in London, where he specialized in peer group analysis of mutual funds. Jeremy has a degree in Economics from Durham University.

Chris recently graduated with a BA (Hons) degree in Financial Economics. Coming straight from University to Style Research, Chris is looking to build on his theoretical understanding of financial markets and is working closely with our Fund Analyzer product.

Andrea Wildsmith is responsible for Sales and Marketing for Europe at Style Research.

Andrea has a BSc degree in Economics from the University of Southampton and a MSc in International Securities, Investment and Banking from the University of Reading. Prior to Style Research, Andrea has held several sales & marketing and consultant roles at companies providing analytical solutions.

Luz Mery Zambrano Portilla is the Office Manager at Style Research.

Luz has a degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Autonoma in Colombia and two Masters Degrees in Bilingual Translation and in Marketing from London universities. She is fluent in Spanish and English.
